Who Lost a Tooth?

In the kindergarten classroom is a poster that keeps track of who lost a tooth. In kindergarten this is a BIG deal! Highlight of the day kind of stuff!

After a class virtual meeting, Mrs. Lavelle was surprised how many students had tooth since they'd been gone. Not wanting those kiddos to miss out on that simple joy, Mrs. Lavelle went up to school to get that poster. "If I can add something so simple in their lives that make them smile then I’m going to do it! I can’t wait to start tracking again."

Spring Brings New Life

Mrs. Lavelle bought some caterpillars. She sends daily videos of them to the kindergarten students.

The students observe the caterpillars and draw a picture showing how they are changing on a recording sheet. A couple of the butterflies emerged from the chrysalis today. Exciting times!

Kindergarten students were sent an envelope with a bingo board of fun activities they could do with Flat Mrs. Lavelle, like Flat Stanley. Also included is a little postcard letting each student know how much they are missed. Students are encouraged to share their adventures on the Google Classroom page and get a bingo.
