Wear Your Scapular Advent Retreat Begins November 9th

ADVENT RETREAT WITH FR. BONIFACE HICKS, O.S.B. AND VESTING IN THE BROWN SCAPULAR

Advent begins on Sunday, November 29. Our Advent Retreat guide, the book, The Fruit of Her Womb, authored by Benedictine priest, Fr. Boniface Hicks, will be our retreat guide in preparation for the Advent Season and through Advent’s first weeks. The book requires the prayerful reading of one chapter a day, about 10-15 minutes of daily prayer. This will lead us to being formally clothed with the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. What a wonderful way to enter into Advent’s meaning and mystery by meditating on Mary and the Child she carries and nurtures – the fruit of her womb. All are invited to participate.

Our School Year in Review

Angel Scholarship Fund

St. Brendan School's Angel Scholarship Fund campaign will formally kick off in the new year with the deadline of April 15, 2026, but you can start early if you'd like to do so before the new year: You may be eligible for a 1:1 tax credit at NO NET COST to you when you "donate" up to $750 individually (or $1,500 if your spouse and you file a joint Ohio tax return) by designating St. Brendan School specifically through the Angel Scholarship Fund (to donate start here)! You will get all $750 or $1,500 back if you qualify. We remain forever grateful for helping us raise $198,000 last year. With your help we plan on exceeding that goal in 2026. If you have any questions, please contact our Director of Finance, Mrs. Lisa Fusco, at [email protected] or 440-777-7222, x21

Updated instructions on the steps to donate and claim the deduction on your Ohio tax return can be found here.
